About First Law
First Law Studio is a space for creative energy in motion. Born from a love of storytelling, expression, and experimentation, this brand lives at the intersection of art, fashion, and digital culture.
Whether it’s through handmade jewelry, streetwear, visual projects, or helping brands grow through strategy, First Law is about showing up authentically and building something that lasts.
The Meaning Behind the Name
The name First Law comes from the first law of thermodynamics: energy cannot be created or destroyed—only transformed. That idea stuck with me. It means that everything we are, everything we’ve lost, and everything we create is still here in some form. Energy never disappears—it just shifts.
This belief grounds the way I move through the world and my creative work. It helps me process life, loss, and purpose. First Law is a reminder that our energy—our stories, impact, ideas—don’t end. They evolve.
The Person Behind It
Hey, I’m Jennifer—a social media analyst by day, artist and creative builder all the time. My background is anything but traditional: I started college studying psychology and was on the pre-med track before enlisting in the U.S. Army as a combat medic during my sophomore year. That path taught me discipline, adaptability, and how to stay grounded in high-pressure environments.
After serving, I felt content with what I had learned as a medic and honestly believed that if a zombie apocolypse ever hit, I'd be useful enough—so instead of going to med school, I wanted to explore something new. That curiousity led me into the world of digital media, and I got my start with my first intership at Vaynermedia.
First Law is my studio, sandbox, and statement piece. It’s where I explore the overlap between aesthetics, culture, and tech. From working with brands to dropping original pieces, this is the space where it all lives.
